Storytelling as a concept offers a framework that allows transferring information, and at the same time, sparks intimacy and empathy. Personal accounts supplemented by pictures and quotes make for an easier access to a topic.
Therefore, the Regional Project on Social Rights for Vulnerable Groups, which the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) is implementing on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) in the Western Balkan countries of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Macedonia and Kosovo, has established cooperation with FLMH a German Communications Agency from Berlin to develop success stories of the project’s local cooperation partners.
SoRi works on social issues in five countries in the Western Balkans in order to foster the inclusion of vulnerable people and to improve their living conditions.
The aim of this website is to serve as a repository of a selection of good practice stories of SoRi’s cooperation partners and to allow for easier sharing of the results and approaches.
The selection of short articles set in the five countries of the Wester Balkan tell stories of “change makers”: individuals who, through their personalities or their actions, embody the values and the potential of SoRi and its local cooperation partners.
